Well it looks like we may be losing Saturday delivery.
I don`t have enough time to write what I think about these psycho, crying, panty waist, morons.
If this was a private business, they would be out of business.
I knew ten years ago that they were headed down hill when the guy that delivered my mail looked like he fell into a fishermans tackle box because he had so many ear rings on. Then the pony tail came next.
Maybe my lawn will get a break from him driving on it.
I wonder that if the welfare checks comes on Saturday, if they will come in to deliver them.
I would just like to see them stop delivery all together because they cry about everything and the Government could set up regional post office boxes close to your house ran by contract private companies and ax all of them.

the post office isn't run by the gov., if it was it would really be bad. It is a self sustaining operation that completely funds itself by postage. And though they do have their screw-ups and occasionally one of them grabs an assault rifle and starts shooting, it is run pretty well. I get all my checks, my customers get all their bills, I throw out all my junk mail and life goes on.
Anyway, I have no complaints, maybe the South really is behind the North? If you won the civil war, my mail might be messed up and your's might be A-OK.

I think if they'd do away with junk mail, they probably wouldn't have the financial problems they do.

What about the millions they spend on advertising?
I remember reading a short time ago that the Postal service spent something like $10,000.00 to move one of their fat cats across town.
Oh excuse me, I think I was short about $240,000
Now tell me again Diceman how great these people are and how this has anything to do with the civil war.
.......................................................................................
At the same time that the USPS is experiencing continual failures in its core business, it is squandering money in other areas unrelated to delivering the nation’s mail. Earlier this year, it was revealed that two USPS executives received nearly $250,000 just for relocating to new homes closer to their office in Washington, D.C. One received more than $100,000 for moving 20 miles closer to work and shaving 30 minutes from his commute, while the other was paid more than $140,000 to move a grand total of 2.5 miles closer to work, reducing his commute by about one minute. In the aftermath of that scandal, the OIG audited overall executive compensation packages and found that the USPS pays its executives miscellaneous relocation expenses of $10,000 or $25,000 without requiring proof of expenses incurred. These packages are five times the size of comparable private sector benefits.
The OIG issued an audit in August, 2000 which revealed more than 500 incidents over a two-year period when USPS executives (mostly at the Washington, D.C. headquarters) used chauffeur-driven limousines for travel between home and office, a practice, which violates federal law. One executive got door-to-door service for two years before anyone caught on. Auditors were unable to precisely determine the extent of the abuses because there were virtually no logs kept on the use of the limousines. On more than a dozen occasions limos were pressed into service to transport the spouses of executives, as well as deliver cakes and packages. How often unauthorized limo rides operated at other USPS facilities around the nation is anyone’s guess.
In 1998, the USPS threw two parties for outgoing U.S. Postmaster General Marvin Runyon. The total price for these galas was more than $124,000, about $40,000 over the modest $82,508.09 that was budgeted to fete this humble public servant.
The USPS is engaged in a plethora of non-mission related promotional activities, including sponsoring the U.S. cycling team, sponsoring the Olympics, and spending somewhere between $350 and $400 million annually on image advertising.
In July, the USPS announced it was going to spend $15 million to participate in a promotional tie-in campaign around this year’s release of superstar Jim Carrey’s newest flick, "Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas."
The USPS lost $3.9 million in a three-year effort to sell foreign postage stamps to U.S. collectors.
Examples like these are only the tip of the waste iceberg. So far, the USPS OIG has identified more than $1.4 billion in avoidable costs, wasteful spending, contract mismanagement, and fraud.
The GAO has weighed in for years on the poor performance of the USPS. In its September 2000 report, the GAO characterized the USPS’ performance plans as "not straightforward," "misleading," and "incomplete." In addition, the USPS does not have sufficient internal controls to track either mail or dollars, coming in or going out.
Here is were I got the above. Good reading!

You missed this one by about a couple of billion dollars Dice! Now drop and kiss my ring.
Yankee Carpet Bagger!
Were are you going for R&R?
Quote:
The USPS should not be able to rely on the full faith and backing of the U.S. taxpayer to underwrite its debts, especially when it continues to squander billions of dollars which by all rights ought to be used to eliminate that debt. By appearing to guarantee the debts of the USPS, the U.S. government drives up the interest rates that American consumers must pay when borrowing money for a home or car. The USPS must be responsible for its own debts.

James post something that long without forgetting what the hell he was talking about. Good job, buddy. Going to Florida, Gulf side, west of Tampa on that barrier island just south of clearwater. Sweet condo right on the beach. Watch the sun set from my balcony, drink beer, eat shrimp, I might even go in the ocean.

Drive over to Tampa to the Tanga Club. It is on the connector road between Tampa and Clearwater. Also check out the Monza Venus. Do not take your Wife.
Don`t go in the Ocean!! They have just gotten the water back to clear from being dirty from the last group of Yankees that laid up there. Most of all don`t forget to go home. Have fun.

Mr. Loonie sir, you have the solution. Can you imagine the explosion if UPS and the fat, sloppy U.S. mail systems tried to merge?
