Last Saturday evening around 7:00pm a 2000 sq.ft earth covered
magazine with 100,000lbs of explosives detonated here in south
Arkansas about 5-7 miles from my house. This was awesome guys.
There is a 16 foot deep crater where magazine used to be. No pine
needles on the trees for 1/2 mile. No one was injured or killed and
neighboring magazines did as designed and did not explode even
though the padlocks on some were broken off by force of blast. The
2-foot thick reinforced concrete was everywhere including a piece
with rebar that was embedded in a highway a mile off. Closest
town of Woodberry which is about 3 miles away had many houses
damaged and people are pissed because neither the BATF, that is
investigating, or the Highland Industrial Park which owns the
magazines, will not say EXACTLY what blew up or who actually owned
the explosives. However, a little bird told me that Alliant Systems
owned the stuff which consisted of double-based gunpowder,HMX,
and RDX. This was an awesome thing to feel.

Would have been an awesome site to see.
Think anyone got it on video?

I doubt it. Site is out in the sticks and it was Saturday. They
thought 4 guys were working but they found them at the local
Mazzios Pizza. Makes you wonder how it went off by itself but
with that shit it's anyone's guess. If there is video then
(whoever shot it) is probably in trouble.

this is the kind of thing that happens when you rub to 50cal. bullets togather, I suspect OSHA will want to look into this, i hope who ever did this was waring his steel toed shoes and hard hat, otherwise there is going to be some heffty fines

If the BATF comes out and says they know what happened and
why these explosives detonated without any physical evidence
such as part of a detonator or smoking shoes they will be lying.
There is nothing left there. On some of them magazines they have
climate control and if this was one of them they'll probably say
it was the cooling unit whose refrigerant bypassed the usual time
it takes to bite out a piece of the ozone and went straight there.
Army Corps of Engineers, whoare already doing some tests here at Shumaker Naval Ammo Depot.
Site where depot is considered a Class 1 site- on scale of 1 to 5
with 1 being most dangerous-on risks to workers health and safety
because of dumping of bulk waste TNT and other hazardous waste
which was carried out to fields, dumped, spread out and covered with
dirt. 700 magazines on this old naval depot with everything from
Tomahawk cruise missles to Cooper tires to Campells soup. Lease
one for $.75cents a square foot(they are 2000 and 3500sq.ft units).
At one time manager of Highland, which is owned by Brown & Root,
wanted someone to live inside one for 1 year rent free, a family, but
no takers. Good tornado shelter but neighbors would suck. Snakes
take care of rodents and no one able to shoot inside because of traps
and turns. Summer temp inside usually around 65 to 70f but humidity
can be bad. Which is why that old gunpowder probablydetonated.
