That is about fair. But prices are not a good idea on this board. everyone has there own profit margins.
To post a price for one place may not be the norm for another.

Did the customer have a problem with that price?

If they think it will get them a discount.
You have a family to feed. Relax.

I had my Harley`s 12,000 mile check done last week with oil change and very minor work $350

I went to the lawn mower shop today. Labor rate $55.

The customer is one I've had for a long time and she always gasps when I give her a bill. The situation was that she returned to a cold house , bulbs burned out, sat. dish out, computer on the fritz etc. She showed me a black burned spot on the side of her house next to where the service enters the house. Also the cover to water sprinkler timer was black and laying on garage floor. Obviously a lighting strike or voltage spike. Funny thing no breakers were tripped. Anyway furnace trans. was burned out along with gas valve coil. Insurance man wants the old parts. She was noisier than usual at the bill. She gave me a coke after we talked for a while but you never know.

When I was little there was an electrician that went to our church. He was one of the nicest men I remember as a child. I guess he is dead now. He stuttered kind of bad. One day a very wealthy man said that he could of also been very wealthy, but he had a reputation around town of letting the customer talk him down after he did the work. The wealthy man said "I known because I did it also"
