Default Manitowoc

Any know the reason they use stainless expansion valves. I just replaced one and what a joy that was.

The dealer told me the Manitowoc needs a 3 degree superheat constantly. He told me if I try put an regular expansion valve I'd be there all day adjusting the super heat.

Not supposed to cap the joint. And too much heat will melt the copper inside the stub.

I got a customer who put two in a small outdoor closet, the machines are cooking each other.

Can you hack a CDV type of condenser on bins that got the S series units on top of them? Remote the condensers so they dump the heat outside?

Be about his only way out, he has to leave the doors propped up right now to basically get some ice and not a water cooler

I think trying to hoover the heat out of the closet with a roof fan (and changing the doors to louvered) is just a waste of energy

If he has to leave the doors open to make ice than why not add an exhaust fan with louvers on the door. Why don't you try to have him get new ice machines that are water cooled. Wouldn't it be easier and really no headaches?

According to their web site you can. So if you have no choice go with the CDV. It looks like it's made for this.http://www.manitowocice.com/?xhtml=x...&category=0371
